What Do I Do Now?

Knowing Jesus changes everything.

If you placed your faith in Jesus, we encourage you to reach out to us at Brookside and to another Christian you know, and let us know of the decision you’ve made so we can celebrate with you! Life with Jesus isn’t meant to be done alone!

TELL SOMEONE!

We’d also love to provide you with some next steps you can take to grow in this most important relationship with Jesus.

“New Believers: 7 Steps for New Christians”
by Greg Laurie on YouVersion app

If you don’t have the YouVersion App on your mobile device, you can download it here for free. Once downloaded, search for this particular plan using the tab at the bottom of the screen. You’ll get introduced to key topics like the Bible, prayer, and community. Work through the readings day-by-day until you’re done!

Read through the Gospel of Mark
one chapter at a time.

Reading the Bible is a big part of ongoing spiritual growth. We need God’s truth to guide us! You can use your YouVersion App to read through the Gospel of Mark, or if you need a hard copy Bible we have copies at any of our campuses—we’d love to get one into your hands as a gift!

Before you start reading each day, say a prayer asking God to speak to you through His Word. And then end your time by responding to what you read with a prayer to God.

Get connected
in meaningful community.

In addition to the importance of attending worship services, connecting with other Christians in smaller settings is another key element of spiritual growth. Our Groups Ministry and Serving Teams are great way to connect meaningfully with others. To find out more about our Groups Ministry, click here. To find out more about Serving Teams, click here.

Pursue baptism

Baptism is an important step of obedience where you “go public” with your faith. Or in other words, baptism is an outward picture of an inner reality: your new life in Jesus. You can learn more about baptism here.
