At Brookside, we believe that baptism is intended for those who have already placed their faith in Jesus. Baptism is a meaningful step of obedience, publicly expressing your faith in Jesus and that Jesus’ work on the cross has been applied to you.

What is baptism?

When you're baptized, you take a meaningful step of obedience and publicly express that you have placed your faith in what Jesus has done for you. Your life becomes a spotlight, as if to say, “Yes, I’ve placed my faith in Jesus and want to follow Him.” Your baptism displays the fresh and unique way the beauty of the gospel has been applied to you - a visible picture of the work Jesus has done for you and in you.

Your immersion in the water is a picture of our burial with Christ in His death. Our emergence from the water is a picture of being raised to new life with Jesus because of His resurrection.

Kids Baptisms

For elementary-aged kids, middle school and high schoolers, baptisms that incorporate age-appropriate elements are held within these respective ministries. Children in this age range are learning to make their faith in Jesus their own.  So we have a special service to celebrate their commitment with their peers and their families. Infants and Preschoolers

We offer parent-child dedications for parents of infants and very young children. Dedications happen as part of our Sunday service and provide a way that we, as a church, can stand alongside you as you commit to raising your child in a way that honors Jesus.
