Care Center Serving

Run by Volunteers

Brookside's Care Center is run by a great team of volunteers who have a heart for serving foster families and under-resourced families in our community. Each shift is led by a Team Leader who helps run the store for the day. You might be helping sort clothes, do laundry, hang clothes, display clothes, help customers or run the cash register. Volunteers typically serve one time a month with the same team (and they become great friends!) You'll be provided with a Care Center t-shirt and training so that you can be confident to help us serve the families of our city. Or maybe you can't commit to a regular shift. You can help by jumping into our Flip Days - which are a twice a year event turning the store over to a different season. Click below to find out more.

COMMUNITY GROUPS SERVE

Community Groups are provided an opportunity to serve together and work a shift at the Care Center. They'll be guided by a veteran Team Leader who will "show them the ropes" and run the cash register. Your group might help sort clothes, do laundry, help shoppers, or bag up clothes. Or pull your group's resources together to purchase things we need. We like to keep our inventory fresh and new so that it gives our guests lots of dignified seasonal options.
