Small Group Questions

Week 8 Questions:

 

    1. What is something unique that everyone in your group has in common?

    2. Do you agree with the teacher that all people have in common the need for our Heavenly Father's love?

    3. How do we see this reality manifest in our culture in our own lives?

    4. Read 1 John 2:28-3:10 and look for family words (like born, children, father). How many do you see? What does this teach us?

    5. How would you rate your relationship with your parents? How has that shaped your identity?

    6. How can you help each other live out of their identity as "born-again dearly loved Children of our Heavenly Father"?

    7. What does verse 8 teach us about one of Jesus' purposes in this world?

    8. What are the works of the devil in your life?

    9. Craft a specific biblical identity statement to battle the devil's work. Here are some guidelines based in 2 Corinthians 10:1-6

    10. It is grounded in specific scriptures (3-4)

    11. It is easily repeatable for meditation (5)

    12. It combats a specific area of weakness (6)

    13. Prayer Requests? (If this discussion has brought up generational wounds, strongholds, or pain, pray specifically for those.)
