pre-marital coaching

At Brookside we believe marriage is a good gift given to us by God. Since God is ultimately the giver of marriage, this means He has certain designs for marriage that we want to keep in mind and follow. With this in mind, our pre-marital coaching ministry connects engaged couples with godly, caring, and trained mentors, thus creating a trusting relationship where these couples can discover how to head into marriage in a way that honors God and learn what a lifetime of godly marriage looks like.

Our pre-marital coaching program is required of all couples that get married at Brookside or by a Brookside pastor. This ministry is also available to all other Brookside regular attenders who may not be getting married at Brookside or by a Brookside pastor, but who nevertheless want to lay a strong foundation for their marriage. Additionally, we open this ministry to engaged couples who do not already have a church family.

To get connected with this ministry, we ask that you contact Peggy King (pking@brookside.net) at least 6 months prior to your wedding date. Peggy will help further introduce you to our pre-marital coaching ministry, and you will be asked to provide us with some information to help us get to know you a little better. We will then work to pair you with one of our volunteer couples who will serve as your pre-marital coaches.
