Serve

To love is to serve. And you will find that one of our leading priorities at Brookside is serving. We believe that God has created each one of us with a unique gifting to serve others. In fact, serving leads to spiritual health. To help make the process of getting involved as convenient as possible, we have already identified a number of key areas that could benefit from your involvement. We believe it is important to serve at Brookside, but also to serve beyond our walls in the community.
 
 
 
Opportunities to Serve at Brookside
 
Global Impact email globalimpact@brookside.net
Friends of Global Impact Team:  Encourage visiting missionaries by attending Mission Vision Lunches held approximately 6 times a year.
Missionary Care Team:  Encourage our missionaries in practical ways such as care packages and notes of encouragement.
Vision Lunch Food Prep Team:  Help coordinate and host a pot-luck lunch for visiting missionaries.
Vision Lunch Tech Person:  Help run tech booth (in Oasis Room) so that visiting missionaries can share updates from the mission field during the Vision Lunches.

Sunday morning Host Team:  Serve once a month as greeter, usher, information team host, volunteer central or parking assistant.
Food Prep Team for Volunteer Central:  Serve once a month preparing breakfast baked goods to be served at Volunteer Central for those who are serving on that particular Sunday.
 
High School (Oasis) highschool@brookside.net
Female LIFEgroupleaders:  Co-lead a group of high school girls on Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:45pm.
Event/Program Personnel:  1-2 times a month, walk the hallways on Wednesday nights to make sure kids are in the right spots.
 
Event Team:  Help set up, take down, run registration and hosting for events.
 
Junior High (Tribe) juniorhigh@brookside.net
LIFEgroup leaders:  Co-lead a group of junior high boys or girls on Sunday morning from 10:30-11:40 and Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:30pm.

Chair Team:  Help stack chairs after services one Sunday a month.
 
Community Impact Team:  Help plan our serving efforts in the community.  The team will meet as needed.
Step Out/SaturdayServe Team:  This team focuses on leading the Step Out or SaturdayServe days throughout the year.
Open Door Mission:  Join a team of Brooksiders one Saturday a month (or any Saturday your schedule allows) to do various work projects for ODM. 
 
LIFEgroup leaders:  Facilitate a group of about 8 guys through a study of a book or topic.  You pick the time to meet.
 
Choir:  Men's voices needed for choir.  We meet every Thursday night from 6:30-7:30pm and sing in services once a month.
 
Women's Ministry women@brookside.net
Monday Morning Volunteer:  You can help with women's ministry and children's ministry projects on Monday mornings from 9:00-12:00, several times a month.
MOPS:  Hold babies or play with little ones during the Moppets programming while their moms attend MOPS on Wednesday or Thursday mornings.

Preschool and nursery song leaders:  Guide the little ones through songs that teach about the love God has for us on Sunday mornings both during the 9:00 and 10:30 services.
