Kids

At Brookside, we love kids! Our goal is to introduce kids to Jesus in a real, fresh way. Your kids will experience fun, safe, age-specific environments designed just for them!

your first visit

Birth - Pre-K
We want our littlest ones to know Jesus loves them and that He is their friend. They’ll experience interactive Bible stories, worship, and hands-on activities designed just for them.
K - 3rd grade
In our elementary environments, we desire to help kids learn about Jesus and build relationships with others through high energy worship, engaging Bible stories and small group activities.
4th and 5th Grade
We call it "45"! This is a pivotal time in a pre-teens' spiritual life when they often begin asking questions about faith. We want to offer them a fun environment and show them how to apply truths from the Bible to their lives at school, with friends and family.
Special Friends Kids
A sensory-friendly experience for kids and teens with special needs. Special Friends volunteer staff and "buddies" engage kids through modified Bible stories, sensory play, music, and prayer. Join us as we learn about God through hands-on teaching in the Special Friends space! Meets Sundays at 9:00 a.m. in the Activity Room.
The Hangout Room
The Hangout is a fun, safe environment where volunteers' kids can go while they serve on Sunday mornings. Giving kids a good experience while their parents volunteer, paints a beautiful picture of serving others and being the hands and feet of Jesus. Additionally, it gives parents ease of mind that their kids are in good hands and having a stellar time!

K-12 Anchors

As we work together to help Brookside kids and youth find and follow Jesus, these seven Anchors keep us fixed on this goal. Our programs and events center around these priorities. Click the button to find out more.

Kids Baptisms

We believe baptism is an outward expression of an internal transformation. Splash Class is designed to walk parents and children through this decision together.

Every child is unique and kids are ready for baptism at different ages. We teach about the importance of baptism at the 4th and 5th grade level. Here are a couple of questions to help guide your thoughts, prayers, and conversations as you and your child consider baptism.

Discussion Questions About Baptism

Parents, ask yourself these questions:

  • Is this decision coming from me or my child?
  • Does my child understand the Gospel?
  • Is there evidence of the Holy Spirit working in my child's life?

Ask your child these questions:

  • Who is Jesus and what did He do for you?
  • Why do you want to be baptized?

Baptism Class - or Splash Class - is offered periodically throughout the year. Scroll down to found out more details.

Infants and Preschoolers

We offer parent-child dedications for parents of infants and very young children. Dedications happen as part of our Sunday service and provide a way that we, as a church, can stand alongside you as you commit to raising your child in a way that honors Jesus.
